Referral Program

Thank you for your interest in referring clients to Peak 9860.

We understand that your referral means a great deal and we don’t take that trust lightly. We are committed to providing the highest quality service to each client we engage, making you proud to refer our company to your clients and partners.

This referral program was created as a token of our appreciation for your trust. Peak 9860 offers a long-term solution and relationships are long-term, so, of course, is our referral structure is long-term. There are three stages to our referral fee.

  1. Initial — 25% of the first month's payment. Whatever your referral pays Peak 9860 the first month, as the referer, you get 35% of that amount. With our average monthly retainer of $4625, the initial referral fee would be $1156.25.

  2. Short-term — 5% of the paid monthly fee for the next eleven (11) months. The referer finishes the first year with 5% of the monthly fee. Based on our $4625 monthly average, that results in a monthly referral fee of $231.25, each month for the following eleven months, totaling $2543.75.

  3. Long-term — 1% of the paid monthly fee for the next four years, as long as they remain a client. Assuming your referral remains a client of Peak9860, you will get a monthly referral fee equal to 1% of the amount they pay each month. Using the average fee, that means $46.25 per month for the next forty-eight (48) months, for a total of $2220.

With the average client monthly fee of $4625, over the five (5) year referral program, a single referral who remains a client will provide $5920.00 in referral fees.

We also know that relationships exist with more than one group. We took the time and effort (working with existing partners) to develop a fair way to avoid a “stale” list and reward second source follow-up. This means, that a second referral can also earn a referral fee. That is, if someone has already referred an organization/client to Peak 9860, you can still refer the same client and earn a secondary referral fee. Secondary referrals have no impact on initial referral fees. Secondary referrals also have a three-stage referral fee structure.

  1. Initial — 10% of the first month’s payment. Based on our average monthly client fee of $4625, your secondary referral provides $462.50.

  2. Short-term — 2% of the paid monthly fee for the next eleven (11) months. Based on our $4625 monthly average, the secondary referral fee would be $92.50, each month for the following eleven months, totaling $1017.50.

  3. Long-term — 1% of the paid monthly fee for the next four years, as long as they remain a client. Assuming your referral remains a client of Peak 9860, you will get a monthly referral fee equal to 1% of the amount they pay each month. Using the average fee, that means $46.25 per month for the next forty-eight (48) months, for a total of $2220.

With the average client monthly fee of $4625, over the five (5) year referral program, a single referral who remains a client will provide $3700 in referral fees.

Enroll and start referring!

To enroll in Peak 9860’s referral program, complete a simple form using the button to the right. Once approved, you will receive a unique (random) four-digit code to identify you on the referral tracking list.

With your approval email, you will receive a link to a confidential tracking list of organizations already enrolled in our referral program. This will allow you to see who in your network can be added as first or second referrals.

We use an e-introduction email and confirmation to connect you and the organization. That is, you send an introduction email, copying your contact at Peak 9860, introducing the two, and recommending Peak 9860. Once the receiver responds, at least acknowledging the email, you will be listed as the referrer for that organization. It is the same process for the secondary referrer.

The Peak 9860 team then begins the cultivation process. As professional fundraisers, we are familiar with effective cultivation techniques, moving prospects toward the mutually agreed goal.

You will be notified if the referral closes contact (wishes no further contact) or goes under contract. Please note, this is confidential information and can not be shared.

Payments are made monthly based on the funds received from the referral. Once your first referral is under contact, our finance team will reach out to you for Tax ID and payment preferences. You can reach out at any time to see where a prospect is in the process or how much you will be receiving that month.

The “fine print”

The referral must reply to the introduction email and include Peak 9860 to be included. The confidential tracking list will be updated within two business days of the reply. As unlikely as it is, should there be more than one referral at the same time, we will use the timestamp of the reply/confirmation email to determine first/second referrer — the first (earliest) response is noted as the first referral and the second response (from the referral) would be noted as the second referer. The process would be the same in the case of a second referral, only that the second to respond would not be added to the confidential referral list.

You are welcome to assist in the cultivation process but are not required to do so.

Complete enrollment in the referral program, including acceptance of the referral agreement, is required before any payments or adding you to the confidential referral list.

You can be either the first or second referrer, not both.

Referral payments are made from funds received, late client payments mean late referral fee payments.

Referrals stay active for two years. After that period, if you wish to extend it, work with your Peak 9860 contact.

Once the referral is under contract, referral fees are made under a three-tier system as outlined above, lasting up to five years as long as the referral remains under contract.

Violation of confidentiality will invalidate the agreement and void any future payments.
